The Fine Print: things you need to know |
ORDERING BASICS: For those of you who have not worked with me before, the process to make a purchase is pretty simple: If you would like something created especially for you, send me an e-mail. (If you feel the need to obtain a reference, I can put you in touch with some of my happy customers from around the country.) I insist that no payment be made until your items are finished. At that point, I will send you a photo via e-mail for your approval. If you are satisfied with my creation, I’ll send an invoice and you’ll send payment. The item will be shipped upon receipt of your payment. If you're not happy after you receive it, you can return it for a full refund of the purchase price, but I do not refund the cost of postage. CUSTOMIZING: For jewelry pieces, I am happy to cater to your length requirements, color specifications and ear-wire preferences. The metal parts on the jewelry can be ordered in sterling silver, 14k gold-filled or plated metal. The plated metal I use has held up well in use-tests and reduces the cost of a finished jewelry item. Some of the finished pewter may contain small amounts of lead. If you prefer precious metal, I will advise you of the current cost, request a deposit and order the materials needed. TIME CONSIDERATIONS: All jewelry, accessories and other items in my boutiques are custom-made by me. This means I do not create a new piece until I receive an order. I occasionally have a things ready for immediate sale, but generally, items are created upon receipt of an order for a specific item. There is a wide variety of choice available to my customers. Because of that, there are time considerations. I am not a factory. I create each piece by myself. Please keep that in mind when placing an order. All custom items are generally completed within 2-3 weeks (please allow extra for delivery time). Some color-specific items and 14k gold-filled items may take up to 4-6 weeks, due to the fact that I cannot keep every color of every bead or every possible clasp in stock. I order these items on an “as needed” basis. These are only suggested time frames. Some orders may be posted/shipped sooner and others may take longer. At the time you place your order, I will be able to give you a delivery timeline. When ordering garden stones, mosaics and hand-painted silk items, expect that these items may take longer. If you require jewelry for a specific event such as a wedding or gift-giving occasion, or you are ordering coordinating pieces for an entire bridal party, I highly recommend that you place your order a minimum of 8 weeks prior to the event to ensure that I have sufficient time to source the necessary components, create the pieces and have them shipped to you in time for the event. SIZING: Whenever I create a bracelet or choker for you, and request an exact measurement, it is critical that you take the time to provide me with an accurate measurement. I will re-size most items at no charge to you, but I will not cover the cost of postage for the return or re-shipment. When you contact me about re-sizing, I will provide you with a quote if there is an additional charge to re-size the item in question. There will be an additional charge for sizes that exceed what I feel is the normal range. PAYMENT: Generally, I do not require payment until your item is complete. If you are placing a large order, I may request a deposit. If that’s the case, I will advise you at the time of ordering. Payment options: I accept personal checks, money orders and PayPal instant transfers. With prior notice I can accept credit or debit card payments via PayPal, but I will add a processing and handling fee to the invoice. On bracelets, that fee is $2.00 per bracelet. Any orders being paid by credit card or debit card (via PayPal) are not eligible for any discount. DISCOUNTS: Repeat customers will always be offered a discount. CATALOG ITEM AVAILABILITY & PRICING: Swarovski Pearl/Crystal Colors and all other items shown on this website are subject to change and may be discontinued at any time. Prices are subject to change at any time. SHIPPING: Upon ordering, I will provide you with an approximate shipping quote. Any "Ready Made" items will be sent upon receipt of your payment. CUSTOMER SATISFACTION: Your satisfaction is guaranteed. When you receive an item, if you don't like it, you are welcome to return it (naturally, in the same condition in which it was received) for a refund of your purchase price and any applicable taxes. I don't refund postage. GIFT CERTIFICATES: I can create a gift certificate for you that covers any particular item, postage included, or you can request a gift certificate for a specific dollar amount. Unused gift certificates ARE refundable. I’m not going to keep your money if the recipient doesn’t find anything they would like. REPAIRS: Occasionally a crimp will fail. If any of the components fail under normal use, and the items are not abused, I'm happy to make repairs for a reasonable period of time. I don’t cover the postage, that’s on you. All of the jewelry designs on my website have been tested before being offered for sale. I always use very strong wires and threads and use the BEST quality materials available, but sometimes, crimps simply fail. I cannot guaranty that a piece of jewelry will not break. It is my policy to repair component failure, but should a piece be damaged by you, please contact me for a repair quote. SAFETY ISSUES: The items I create are not intended for use by small children. Be aware of a potential choking hazard. The items I make are not intended as toys. Glass beads are apt to break if they are dropped on a hard surface. Please take care to ensure your safety and that of children or pets. I make good, strong jewelry pieces, but they are not indestructible. Please use the appropriate amount of care. SALES TAX: I live in Orange County, FL and will add 6.5% sales tax to purchases made by any and all residents of the State of Florida. DISCLAIMER: Please note that any copyrighted character beads that may be used in any of my designs have been purchased from the source or from an authorized retailer. I did not create the beads and I am in no way affiliated with any other company. |
